To use a subtitle file converter, you can follow these steps:

  • Download and install a subtitle file converter on your computer. There are many different subtitle file converters available, so you can choose one that meets your needs.
  • Open the subtitle file you want to convert using the subtitle file converter. The file should be in a supported format, such as SRT or SUB.
  • Select the option to convert the file to plain text. The specific steps for this will vary depending on the software you are using.
  • Choose a location to save the converted file, and click the "Save" button. The converter will then create a plain text version of your subtitle file.

Alternatively, you can use a text editor to open the subtitle file and save it as a plain text file. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Open the subtitle file in a text editor or word processor.  This can be a program like Notepad on Windows, or TextEdit on Mac.
  • Remove any formatting or special characters, such as bold or italic text, timestamps, or speaker labels.
  • Save the file as a plain text file (.txt).
  • Open the saved text file and verify that the subtitles are in the correct order and that all formatting and special characters have been removed.
  • If necessary, manually edit the text to correct any errors or formatting issues.
  • Save the file again to ensure that the changes are saved.

subtitletools is fine but it doesn't understand vtt well
It repeats each line 3 times
>>>
don't at the same time tell me you're
don't at the same time tell me you're
don't at the same time tell me you're

Which is ok just use Notepad++ to perform Line Operations>remove duplicates

You still need to join all the lines and split into paragraphs ChatGPT will do that but it has its 2-4000 word limitation
